How do I secure my account?

Collect’d provides a secure and private environment for your information, but you need to do a few things on your own to protect the encryption key that is stored on your device.:

• Use a strong password to protect your account.  
• Use FaceID to prevent others to access your information (like your kids)
• Use a PIN in case you cannot use FaceID (like when you wear a mask)
• Generate a Recovery Key and store it securely.  A Recovery Key is the only way you can recover your account if you lose your device.  Test the Recovery Key periodically to make sure you remember where you stored it. 
• Share only what is needed.  Managing your Private Network and what is shared is easy with Collect’d - make sure no one has access to what they should not have access to.
