With the Basic plan, you manually add your basic account information like routing and account numbers, or you can add the important pieces of information like your Debit or Credit cards, statements or others documents related to your financial accounts. By doing this, you can then easily access your financial account information.
With the Premium plan, it's even easier! You can Connect your financial accounts to your Collect'd account, and receive automatic balance updates, transaction history and low balance alerts.
How to Connect a Financial Account
- Open the Add menu (big + on the navigation bar)
- Select Financial Accounts. You will see the Add an Account page, showing you all options.
- Select the account type (Bank or Investment).
- At this point, you are redirected to Plaid's platform. Plaid provides a simple and secure way for you to connect to your financial accounts, without giving Collect'd your login information. See What is Plaid? for more information.
- All institutions are different, and the flow to connect to your account will change depending on these institutions. Typically, you will go through a series of screens like showed below, where you enter your login information, where you may have to confirm with your 2 factors authentication method, where you select which account to connect and where you confirm.
- Once the connection is complete with Plaid, you will see a message like this:
- You will then get a confirmation from Collect'd application that your Collect'd account is being synchronized with your financial account.
- It can take up to a few minutes for Collect'd to receive all the information related to your account, especially if you have a lot of transactions for these accounts. Once completed, you will receive a notification to confirm if the connected account(s) are new accounts or existing accounts:
- If you already had information about the connected account, tap on the "New" drop down to select your existing account. Otherwise, leave it as "New", and a new financial account will be added to your Collect'd account.
- Once done, you are good to go! You can find your Financial Accounts in your Library, under Money, and under Financial Accounts.
- When you tap on the account, you can access the details of the account and set a balance alert from the Information tab:
- You can add documents in the Documents tab (you can simply use the big + menu also). And you have access to your last transactions in the Transactions tab:
How to Manually Add a Financial Account

- Enter your account information, and tap Save.
- Once saved, you can find your Financial Accounts in your Library, under Money, and under Financial Accounts.
